Located within Nashville’s historic Music Row district, the SAW re-imagined an aging 1930s cottage into a warm, flexible, community-centered environment for church staff and congregational life. In collaboration with In House Studio, SAW reconfigured a series of 
subdivided rooms into open gathering spaces that support counseling, Bible studies, youth programs, dinners, and worship nights. The renovation included a sun-filled dayroom addition approved by the Historic Zoning Commission, updated accessible restrooms, and a large residential-style gathering kitchen. A vaulted main gathering space exposes the home’s unique roof form and dormers, while period-appropriate windows, trim, and furnishings preserve the historic character of the original structure.
